William IV (1830-37), silver Groat, 1837, bare head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GUIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, date in exergue, FOUR PENCE legend surrounding, edge plain, weight 1.89g (Bull 2520; ESC 1922; Davies 384 dies 2+A; S.3837). Toned, raised die flaw vertical at base of bust, extremely fine.

Calendar Year Mintage 962,280.

The Latin legend translates as "William the Fourth by the grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
