William IV (1830-37), silver Groat, 1836, bare head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GUIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, date in exergue, FOUR PENCE legend surrounding, edge plain, weight 1.90g (Bull 2515; ESC 1918; Davies 380; S.3837). Attractively toned, a couple of tone spots, otherwise uncirculated.

The Latin legend translates as "William the Fourth by the grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
