William IV 1835 Half-Sovereign MS60, the only example graded at this level

William IV (1830-37), gold Half-Sovereign, 1835, bare head right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, ANNO 1835 below, edge milled, weight 3.98g (Marsh 411; S.3831). Toned a little patchy on reverse, some surface marks and hairlines, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS60.

NGC certification 5878276-003 - currently the only example graded as MS60.

Calendar year mintage of 772,554.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "William IV by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith," and on the reverse "In the year 1835."
