William IV 1833 Sovereign, rare date

William IV (1830-37), gold Sovereign, 1833, second bare head right, nose points to second I in legend with flat top ear, W.W. incuse on truncation, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, ANNO 1833 below, weight 7.96g (Bentley 29; Marsh 18; S.3829B). Toned with some red colour, wear mainly on high points of hair with associated surface marks, a bold to good very fine, rare date.

The calendar year mintage of Sovereigns for 1833 totals 1,225,269

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "William IV by the Grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith," and on the reverse "In the year 1833."
