William IV (1830-37), gold Proof Half-Sovereign, 1831, bare head right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, ANNO 1831 below, edge plain (WR 267 R3; S.3830). Light tone over underlying proof brilliance, one short hairline scratch in obverse field behind head, otherwise practically as struck, becoming very rare in the UK market place, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as PF62 Cameo.
