William IV (1830-37),gold proof Half Sovereign, 1831, struck on smaller planchet, die axis en medaille, bare head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:,rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, date ANNO 1831 below, edge plain (WR 267 R3; Hill 409E; EGC. 1038; S.3830). Toned, fields mirrored with lustre especially on the reverse, proficiently struck in the portrait, some hairlines both sides, encapsulated and graded by NGC as PF62 Cameo.
