William III 1697 Sixpence MS63

William III (1694-1702), silver Sixpence, 1697, first laureate and draped bust right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. III.DEI.GRA, rev. crowned cruciform shields, small crowns, Lion of Nassau at centre, date either side of top crown, .MAG BR.FRA ET.HIB REX., (Bull 1219; ESC 1552; S.3531). Toned, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as MS63 where 42 have been graded with only 12 better.

NGC certification 618009-001

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William III by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
