William III (1694-1702), silver Crown, 1697, third laureate and draped bust right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. III. DEI. GRA. rev. crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau at centre, eight strings to second Irish harp, date either side of top crown, .MAG BR.FRA ET.HIB REX. edge inscribed in raised letters and dated,+.+.DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. .ANNO. REGNI. NONO.+ weight 29.54g (Bull 1009; ESC 96 R3; S.3473). Toned, fine on obverse, good fine reverse, very rare date and one year only type.

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William III by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland." and additionally on the edge "An ornament and a safeguard, in the ninth year of the reign."
