William III (1694-1702),silver Shilling, 1696, rotational overstrike error on reverse, MAG appears additionally in the lower arms of reverse, first laureate and draped bust right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. III.DEI.GRA.,rev.crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau at centre, date either side of top crown, .MAG. BR.FRA. ET.HIB. REX. with additional MAG at base of French arms, weight 6.01g (Bull 1104; ESC 1078; S.3497).Toned unevenly with heavy surface marks both sides and some weakness, good fine and an intriguing rotational double striking in the legend.

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William III by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
