William III (1694-1702), silver Crown, 1696, first laureate and draped bust right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. III. DEI. GRA., rev. crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau at centre, early harp, date either side of top crown, .MAG. BR.FRA. ET.HIB. REX., edge inscribed in raised letters and dated, +.+.DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. .ANNO. REGNI. OCTAVO.+.+, weight 29.94g (Bull 995; ESC 89; S.3470). Toned, with an obverse rim bruise, a bold to good very fine.

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William III by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland." and additionally on the edge "An ornament and a safeguard, in the eighth year of the reign."
