William and Mary (1688-94), silver Halfcrown, 1693, second conjoined laureate and draped busts right, legend surrounding, GVLIELMVS. ET. MARIA. DEI. GRATIA., toothed border around rim both sides, rev crowned cruciform shields, small lis in French arms, six strings to Irish harp, WM monogram in angles, Lion of Nassau at centre with 14 billets surrounding, date surrounding, MAG. BR. ER. ET. HI .REX. ET. REGINA., edge inscribed in raised letters and dated, .+.DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. .ANNO. REGNI. QVINTO.+., weight 15.06g (Bull 860; ESC 519A; S.3436). Toned, a bold to good very fine.
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William and Mary by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "King and Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
