Victoria (1837-1901), silver proof Halfcrown, 1893, older crowned and veiled bust left, T.B. initials below truncation for designer Thomas Brock, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA. DEI. GRA. BRITT. REG., rev. crowned quartered spade shaped shield of arms, within Order of the Garter, date at bottom, legend surrounding, .FID. DEF. IND. IMP. in upper half, HALF CROWN in lower half (Bull 2779, ESC 727, Davies 663; KM.782; S.3938). Attractive frosted tone, few obverse contact marks, reverse practically as struck, encapsulated and graded by NGC as PF63. The older veiled bust Proofs are becoming harder to procure in strong grades whether they be Copper, Silver and Gold irrespective of denomination.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Briton's," and on the reverse as "Defender of the Faith, Empress of India."
