Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign, 1892, London, Tower Hill Mint, Golden Jubilee style bust facing left, designed by J Edgar Boehm, small crown and veil on head, pearl earring with pearl necklace, plain truncation variety, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. struck en medaille, crowned quartered high shield of arms, date below either side of bottom of frame, legend commences lower left with toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: edge milled, weight 3.96g (DISH L514 R; cf.Marsh 481A; S.3869C). Lightly toned with some light surface marks, almost very fine, reverse very fine and rare.
