Victoria (1837-1901),gold Half-Sovereign, 1892, London, Tower Hill Mint, Golden Jubilee style bust facing left, designed by J Edgar Boehm, small crown and veil on head, pearl earring with pearl necklace, plain truncation variety, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA,rev.struck en medaille, crowned quartered high shield of arms, date below either side of bottom of frame, legend commences lower left with toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: edge milled, weight 3.97g (DISH L514 R; Hill 481 R4; S.3869C).Lightly toned with some light surface marks, almost very fine, very rare.

Calendar year mintage 684,024.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse "Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
