Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign, 1891, low shield, London, Tower Hill Mint, Golden Jubilee style bust facing left, designed by J Edgar Boehm, small crown and veil on head, pearl earring with pearl necklace, plain truncation variety, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. crowned quartered low shield of arms, date below more spread out either side of bottom of frame, legend commences lower left with toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: (DISH L513; Hill 480; Bull EGC 1365; S.3869D). Toned with some light wear and surface marks, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as AU58.

NGC Certification 3417909-008.

Calendar year mintage 1,087,884.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God," on obverse and as "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith" on the reverse.
