Victoria 1890 Penny, bun head type, Freeman dies 12+N, MS64RD

Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Penny, 1890, laureate "bun style" bust left, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, denomination in words surrounding, date in exergue (Freeman 130, dies 12+N; S.3954). A few hairlines and nicks both sides, otherwise with full lustre, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as MS64RD.

NGC Certification 5880648-014.

We note currently that a total of 131examples of the 1891 Penny have been graded at both services of which only 21 are graded finer than this piece.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
