Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign, 1890, Jubilee issue, crowned and veiled Jubilee style bust left, blank truncation, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. struck en medaille, higher crowned quartered shield of arms, date below, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: edge milled, weight 3.93g (DISH L509; Marsh 479; S.3869C). Toned, good fine and rare.

Mintage circa 1,586,217.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
