Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Halfpenny, 1890, laureate "bun style" bust left, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, denomination in words surrounding, date in exergue (Freeman 362, dies 17+S; S.3956). Dusky tone with much lustre, tiny spot on reverse, has been graded and slabbed by MGC as MS64RB.

NGC Certification 5880648-007.

We note currently that 104 examples of the 1890 Halfpenny have been graded across both services of which 30 are technically finer.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
