Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Halfpenny, 1890, "bun" type laureate and draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right on rock with trident and shield, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue, denomination in words and toothed border surrounding, weight 5.59g (Fr.362 dies 17+S; S.3956). Light tone over considerable lustre, with streaky uneven patches, otherwise uncirculated. Graded by NGC as MS64 RED BROWN.
The Latin legend on obverse translates as "Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
