Victoria (1837-1901),bronze Penny, 1889, narrow date, laureate "bun style" bust left, wreath with fifteen leaves, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:rev.Britannia seated right with trident and shield, denomination in words surrounding, date in exergue of narrow configuration with 13.5 to 14 beads between 1 and 9 (cf.Freeman 127, dies 12+N; Gouby 1889B; S.3954).Toned with some light surface marks, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63 RB.
NGC Certification 8221687-094.
The abbreviated Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
