Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Halfpenny, 1888, laureate "bun style" bust left, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, denomination in words surrounding, date in exergue (Freeman 359, dies 17+S; S.3956). Dusky tone with much lustre, otherwise uncirculated.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
