Victoria (1837-1901), gold Two Pounds, 1887, Jubilee type crowned bust left, J.E.B. initials on truncation for engraver Joseph Edgar Boehm, legend surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:, rev. St. George and dragon right, full streamer from helmet, taller date in exergue, larger B.P to upper right of exergue, weight 16.00g (Schneider 654; DISH C207; Hill T26; Bull EGC 1317; S.3865). Attractively toned, some surface marks and hairlines mainly in fields, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS64.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God," on obverse and as "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith" on the reverse.
The 1887 gold Two Pounds was only the second currency piece ever produced, with the previous being that dated 1823 in the reign of George IV; and was minted to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Victoria's reign.
