Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1887, Jubilee bust left, J.E.B. on truncation for engraver J Edgar Boehm, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D:G: BRITT: REG: F:D:, rev. St. George and Dragon right, short tail to horse, date in exergue, small B.P. initials to upper right for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, weight 7.97g (Bentley 323; DISH L4 R5; Marsh 125C; S.3866). An appealing example with strong residual mint lustre, good extremely fine.
