Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Penny, 1887, laureate "bun style" bust left, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, denomination in words surrounding, date in exergue (Freeman 125, dies 12+N; S.3954). Lightly toned with near full underlying lustre, a few specks and tiny spots each side, otherwise good extremely fine.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
