Victoria 1887 Jubilee Five-Pounds MS62

Victoria (1837-1901), gold Five Pounds, 1887, Jubilee type crowned bust left, J.E.B. initials on truncation, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, weight 39.97g (S.3864). Light hairlines and surface marks both sides, otherwise a well-struck extremely fine, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as MS62.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."

Calendar year mintage of 53,844.
