Victoria (1837-1901), gold Five Pounds, 1887, Jubilee bust left, J.E.B. on truncation for engraver Joseph Edgar Boehm, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, weight 40.01g (Schneider 653; Hill F30; S.3864). Polished with some nicks and bagmarks, hairlines in fields, otherwise very fine.

Calendar year mintage 53,844.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
