Victoria 1887 Five-Pounds, Golden Jubilee issue
Victoria (1837-1901), gold Five Pounds, 1887, Jubilee type crowned bust left, J.E.B. initials on truncation, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, weight 39.96g (S.3864). Toned with some light nicks and hairlines, small patch of scratches at front of bust and another by rim on reverse at 9 o'clock, otherwise otherwise almost extremely fine.
Calendar year mintage of 53,844.
The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
