Victoria 1880 Sovereign, second 8 over 7, long tail, WW buried, small weak BP

Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1880, second 8 over 7 in date, first young filleted head left of the third style, WW buried in truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. St George and dragon right, long tail to horse, one extra spur of hair in upper left curve, date in exergue, small B P initials to upper right, only the P visible, weight 7.96g (Bentley 315; Marsh 91A; S.3856A). Toned unevenly with handling and bagmarks, otherwise a bold fine.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God Queen of the Britain's, Defender of the Faith."

We note that this reverse die with one extra spur of hair in the upper left curve of tail always seems to have a weakly struck BP in exergue.
