Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half Sovereign, 1877 die number 155 on reverse, fourth young head left with narrow hair fillet, type A4, date below, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, die number below, BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF: weight 3.91g (Marsh 452; Bull EGC 1283; S.3860E). Toned, fine.

Calendar year Mintage 1,962,800.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse as "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
