Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1875 M, Melbourne Mint, first young filleted head left of the third style, W.W. raised but incomplete on truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. St George and dragon right, long tail to horse, date in exergue, small B.P. initials to upper right, weight 7.99g (Bentley 763; McDonald 151; Marsh 97; S.3857). Toned, lightly bagmarked, otherwise almost extremely fine.
