Victoria (1837-1901),cupro-nickel Proof Halfpenny, 1868, laureate "bun style" bust left, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:,rev.Britannia seated right with trident and shield, denomination in words surrounding, date in exergue, weight 5.51g (Peck 1794; Fr.304, dies 7+G; cf. S.3956).Toned, good extremely fine, practically as struck, rare.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
