Victoria (1837-1901), bronzed copper Proof Quarter Farthing, 1868, young head left, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F: D: rev. crown over three line inscription with emblematic spray below, QUARTER / FARTHING/ 1868, hairline top to Q in legend (Peck 1616; S.3953). Toned practically as struck, and rare, has been graded and slabbed by CGS UK as AU85.
CGS UK certification 33976 - QF.V1.1868.02.
The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
