Victoria 1861 Farthing

Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Farthing, 1861 TB, "bun" type laureate and draped bust left, five berries in wreath, Latin legend and beaded border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right on rock with trident and shield, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue, denomination in words and toothed border surrounding (Fr.503; S.3958). Patchy tone, with some speckling, otherwise with considerable lustre, uncirculated.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as "Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
