Victoria (1837-1901),gold Sovereign, 1860, letter O in Queen's name struck over a letter C, tall 0 in date with bulbous 6, second young filleted head left, W.W. incuse on truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA,rev.crowned quartered shield of arms, laurel wreath surrounding, emblems below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: (Bentley 82; Hill 43C R; S.3852D).Toned, with a clear variety, some surface marks, and a couple of short scratches, has been graded by PCGS as AU55.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse "Queen of the Briton's, Defender of the Faith."
