Victoria (1837-1901), silver Sixpence, 1859, with 9 of date struck over 8, first young filleted head left, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D: rev. crowned mark of value within laurel and oak wreath, date below, weight 2.84g (Bull 3204; ESC 1708A; Davies 1060; S.3908). Unevenly toned,a pleasing extremely fine and rare.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
