Victoria (1837-1901), silver Shilling, 1859, second young head left, plain truncation, legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D: toothed border around rim both sides, rev. ONE / SHILLING in two lines at centre of crowned laurel and oak wreath, date below, weight 5.67g (Bull 3015; Davies 879 dies 4+A; ESC 1307; S.3904). Attractively toned, good extremely fine.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
