Victoria (1837-1901),silver Twopence, 1857, BRITANNIAE EEGINA error legend, young head left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAE: EEGINA F: D:,rev. crowned mark of value, date either side (Bull.3502; Robinson p.170:476 [i], note 8; ESC.--; S.3916). Toned in varying colours, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS64 and extremely rare.

NGC certification 6946209-012 - there does not appear to be any other examples of this unusual variety graded, this is therefore the finest graded.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."

Mintage of the regular coins = 4,752.
