Victoria (1837-1901),copper Halfpenny, 1854, young filleted head left, W:W. incuse on truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA,rev.Britannia seated right with trident and shield, two incuse dots on base of shield, legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: DEF: emblems in exergue, weight 9.43g (Peck 1542; S.3949).Toned with some lustre, some surface marks to high points, a pleasing extremely fine.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
