Vespasian (A.D. 69-79), Gold Aureus. Mint of Rome, struck A.D. 77-8. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head facing left, rev. COS VIII (in exergue), Vespasian standing left, holding a spear and a parazonium, being crowned with a wreath by Victory who stands on his right, holding a palm, 7.17g., 6h (RIC 936; BMC 205). Toned, good very fine.
