Union of Great Britain and Ireland, 1 January 1801, Copper Medal by Conrad Heinrich Küchler, cuirassed bust left, with St George medallion, GEORGIUS III . D : G . M . BR . FR . ET H . REX, reverse Britannia and Hibernia stand facing, clasping hands, JUGUNTUR OPES FIRMATUR IMPERIUM, in exergue 1 . JAN . MDCCCI, 49mm (BHM unlisted with this obverse, cf BHM 524; Eimer 927 variety). Good extremely fine.

The obverse is recorded for Küchler's Victories of the Year 1798 for which there is also an obverse variety noted. Brown cites Pollard Numismatic Chronicle 1970 in suggesting that these varieties may have been restruck at the Soho Mint after the death of Matthew Boulton.
