Trajan (A.D. 98-117), AE Quadrans. Mint of Rome, struck A.D. 98-102. IMP CAES TRAIAN AVG GERM, laureate bust of Hercules facing right, with a lion's skin fastened around his neck, rev. S C (in exergue), boar walking right, 2.60g., 7h (RIC 702; BMC 1062; C 341; Woytek 602b). Attractive dark green patina, about extremely fine, an unusually good example.
