The East India Iron Company, International Exhibition 1862, bronze prize medal by L C Wyon, after D Maclise, Britannia seated left surrounded by figures of arts and industry, a recumbent lion at her feet, rev. 1862 LONDINI HONORIS CAUSA, in wreath, inscribed on edge EAST INDIA IRON COMPANY CLASS I, 77mm (BHM 2747; Eimer 1553). Extremely fine.

The company was incorporated by Royal Charter on 1 July 1854.
