17thCentury Token, Suffolk, Haverhill, John Boram, Farthing, 1658, date at centre of beaded circle, legend and toothed border surrounding, *IOHN * BORAM, rev. I*B at centre of beaded circle, legend and toothed border surrounding, *IN * HAVERELL, weight 0.97g (Norweb 4346 this token; Boyne 115; B.W.147). Toned a little weak in parts otherwise very fine.

According to Boyne in the year 1655 two of the Boram family a mother and daughter were hanged at Bury St Edmunds for being convicted as witches.
