Scotland, Robert III (1390-1406), debased silver Halfpenny, Edinburgh Mint, light coinage (c.1403-1406), second issue, facing bust with wide crown, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ROBERTVS: REX: SC, shorter legend than given in Burns, rev. long cross pattee, tri-pellets in each inner angle, legend and beaded border surrounding, VILL A ED INB VRG, weight 0.38g (cf.Burns 2 fig 382; S.5187). Some toning, water worn with some porosity, otherwise fine.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on obverse "Robert King of Scotland," and on the reverse as "The Town of Edinburgh."
