Scotland, James VI (1567-1625), silver Ten Shillings, Seventh Coinage, 1594, bare head armoured bust right, within inner and outer beaded circles with legend, initial mark floral cinquefoil both sides, IACOBVS. 6. D. G. R. SCOTORVM, rev. crown over thistle plant within circle, .NEMO. ME. IMPVNE. LACESETT. 1594., date in legend, weight 6.32g (Burns 2, fig.939; S.5493). Toned with a great portrait, a number of light hairlines and touch of weakness on centre of reverse in striking, otherwise good very fine.
The Latin legends translates as on the obverse "James the Sixth, by the grace of God, King of Scotland" and on the reverse as "No one shall hurt me with impunity."
