Scotland, Charles I (1625-49), silver Two Shillings, First Coinage (1625-34), crowned rose, beaded circles and legend surrounding, initial mark thistle both sides, .C. D. G.. ROSA. SINS. SPINA. note error S for E in SINE, rev. crowned thistle, TVEATVR. VNITA. DEVS., weight 0.95g (Burns 6, fig.1000; S.5544). Toned, double struck on reverse, otherwise good very fine / very fine.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Charles by the Grace of God, a rose without a thorn" and on the reverse "May God guard these united."
