Scotland,Charles I (1625-49),silver Twenty Pence, third coinage (1637-42), Thomas Falconer's anonymous issue, type V without F on reverse, crowned bust left within inner linear circle, value XX behind head, inner linear circle legend and outer beaded circle surrounding both sides, legend commences top right, pellet stops, initial mark lozenge CAR. D. G. SCOT. ANG. FR. &. HIB. R.,rev.crowned thistle, legend commences upper right, .IVST. THRONVM. FIRMAT., weight 0.85g (Burns 56; S.5591/5590).Toned, a couple of flan flaws on reverse, otherwise very fine.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Charles by the Grace of God, King of Scotland, England, France and Ireland" and on the reverse "The safety of the State is the supreme law."
