Scotland, Anne 1705 Five-Shillings, ex Dundee Collection

Scotland, Anne (1702-14), silver Five Shillings, 1705, draped bust left, value 5 below bust, legend around ANNA. DEI. GRATIA., rev. crowned thistle plant, date in legend surrounding, NEMO. ME. IMPVNE. LACESSET. 1705, weight 2.31g (Burns 1 fig.1084; S.5702). Toned and practically free of adjustment marks, one slight flaw on reverse otherwise almost extremely fine and rare.

The Latin legends translates as on the obverse "Anne, by the grace of God," and on the reverse as "No one shall hurt me with impunity."
