Scotland, Alexander III (1249-86), silver long cross Penny, second coinage (c.1280-86), type Mb, crowned head and sceptre left, wide hair, large face, single crown punch used, within beaded inner circle, legend and outer beaded circle surrounding, +ALEXANDER DEI GRA, letter Rs have curved bottom tails, rev. long cross pattée, pierced mullet of six points in three angles and seven points to one unpierced, beaded circles and legend surrounding, REX SCO TOR VM+ (Burns 28 fig 159; S.5054). Toned, some light surface marks, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as XF45.

The legend translates as "Alexander by the grace of God," on the obverse and "King of the Scottish" on the reverse.
