Satraps of Caria, Pixodaros (c. 341/0-336/5), Silver Didrachm. Mint of Halikarnassos. Laureate head of Apollo facing, slightly inclined to the right, rev. ΠIΞΩΔPOY, Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding a labrys and a sceptre, 6.71g. (SNG von Aulock 2375-6; SNG Kayhan 891-2). Well-struck in high relief, beautiful iridescent cabinet toning, slight roughness in reverse field, otherwise extremely fine and of very attractive style.
